DIN 1.2083 steel is the most popular one for the type of stainless plastic mold steel. It is a good material, especially for the high-level mirror plastic mold. DIN 1.2083 plastic mold steel has great wear resistance with high Cr. The content of Cr is more than 15%. And it has good polishing performance properties and machinable properties. After quenching, it will get better wear resistance, will be a great material for mold with acid plastic and high polishing property requirements. And people usually called it as 2083 steel.
